Nine fatalities?
editWhere exactly did NBC Los Angeles get the figure of 9 killed, "more than 30" injured? The official tornado database by the Storm Prediction Center lists a similar number of injuries (30), but no fatalities. Ionmars10 (talk) 01:29, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Ionmars10: Other sources, such as as Grazulis, indicate that California has never had a direct fatality from a tornado. One possibility is that there were deaths that were unrelated to the tornado. I did a check of Storm Data (you can retrive monthly reports here), but they only show two flood-related deaths from this event. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:53, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Ionmars10: I did more work on these pages to note the conflicting information on the deaths. I have also emailed the the NBC affiliate to see if I can get to the bottom of this. TornadoLGS (talk) 19:33, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
