Roy Smith?

There's a link in the article to Roy Smith. Can someone please check which of the many Roy Smiths is being referred to. Thanks, Lester 21:57, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

It's possible but very unlikely that the Roy Smith in this article is one of the three covered in Wikipedia. Roy Smith is a common name. I removed the [ [ ] ] around the name to reduce chance of confusion.

Probably the [ [ ] ] causing all the redlinks in the article should also be removed. Wanderer57 (talk) 22:16, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Resulting Premier

With provincial elections, it is about who becomes the Premier from the election outcome not who is the Premier in the meantime.

My edit is consistent with what already been said in the article: "This election ended 42 years of Progressive Conservative Party rule in Ontario with David Peterson's Liberals eventually forming a government with the support of Bob Rae's NDP"

The incumbent Premier at an election is also the caretaker Premier and Miller was still the caretaker Premier when he chose to test the confidence of his government which he lost.

This loss of confidence in the Miller Government is an interpretation of what the people had said in the election and that is they chose not for Miller to continue as Premier but to elect Peterson as the new Premier. 122.108.156.100 (talk) 06:23, 4 July 2017 (UTC)

You're wrong. The results of the 1985 election, was that Miller continue as premier, as PC won the most seats. GoodDay (talk) 10:08, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
