Matches broadcast in the United Kingdom

edit

I added a section on the matches that were broadcast in the United Kingdom. If you have a good memory on which match in a round was broadcast, could you please add them? Thank you! Wonderwizard (talk) 12:26, March 24 2015 (UTC)

TV coverage

edit

Sky Sports did not exist in the 1989-90 football season. At this point, Sky Television were a shareholder in Eurosport.

A rival satellite TV service, British Satellite Broadcasting (BSB), had the non-terrestrial FA Cup TV rights in 1989-90 season. However, their 5 channel network only started broadcasting in late-March 1990, meaning that they only broadcast highlights of the semi-finals and final in this season on their sports channel called The Sports Channel.

BSB and Sky Television merged in November 1990, and The Sports Channel was relaunched as Sky Sports in April 1991. 2A02:6B6F:FCE4:7300:4D96:7DDB:C21D:485 (talk) 04:38, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
