Orphaned references in 1990–91 Sunderland A.F.C. season
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 1990–91 Sunderland A.F.C. season's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "english-ban":
- From 1990–91 Football League First Division: Because of the 1985 UEFA ban, no English clubs played european matches between the 1985/86 and 1989/90 season, and England was therefore ranked as 33rd for the 1991/92-season in Europe which gave England only 1 spot in UEFA Cup.
- From 1990–91 in English football: English teams were still affected by the 1985 UEFA ban, imposed upon the Heysel Disaster, in that they had to earn back
additional places to the UEFA Cup. The teams that missed out on this competition due to UEFA regulations are marked here with grey. - From 1991–92 in English football: English teams were still affected by the 1985 UEFA ban, imposed upon the Heysel Disaster, in that they had to earn back additional

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 08:04, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
I cleared a couple of reference errors on the page. I'm stumped as to what to do with the huge (!) block of text, though. It seems to be more quotes and musings than anything encyclopedic. I didn't, however, read very much of it due to the mass quantity of words. So...if someone else would like to tackle it and create paragraphs from this beast, have at it.
