As the current contents of this section is not directly related to the outcome of the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals, I'm struggling to justify its inclusion in this article. I can see the relevant parts possibly being included in the team history articles, but it seems too far afield to be considered as aftermath. I suggest deleting the section, pending someone providing content that is directly relevant to what happened immediately after the Finals. isaacl (talk) 06:03, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
There are aftermath sections in the articles for 1992, 1995, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. There may be more as I only went back to 1980. Hwy43 (talk) 06:57, 15 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Are they reflective of the aftermath of the finals, such as "Savard was not re-signed by the Canadiens"? Covering the actual consequences of the finals is reasonable, but I don't think such a section should be a catchall for anything that happens to any of the participants at any time in the future. (In this case, also something that didn't happen to a general category of teams to which one of the participants belongs.) isaacl (talk) 13:48, 15 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

The section currently states:
"Fans poured out of the Montreal Forum and began to commit acts of vandalism and violence while their team was celebrating inside."
Surely not every rioter/vandal was a fan that attended the game, and surely not every rioter/vandal was genuinely a fan of the Habs. I suggest it be reworded as follows:
"People poured into the streets of the city and some began to commit acts of vandalism and violence while the Canadiens were celebrating inside the Montreal Forum."
I could go either way. It isn't untrue that fans poured out of the Forum. And it doesn't really claim that everyone was a fan. But I can see trying to tone it down. -DJSasso (talk) 12:52, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
I agree that it is more accurate to clarify that the rioting was not necessarily originated by fans exiting the Forum. (There's a good chance the 1993 riot was primarily initiated by fans, but quite possibly from bars as well as other viewing locales.) isaacl (talk) 13:15, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
