– per main article Chinese Basketball Association, and per policy WP:Article_titles#Article_title_format: Avoid ambiguous abbreviations: Abbreviations and acronyms are often ambiguous and thus should be avoided unless the subject is known primarily by its abbreviation and that abbreviation is primarily associated with the subject. The abbreviation "CBA" is massively ambiguous, even within the context of Chinese sport: see CBA (disambiguation)#Sports ... and the Chinese Basketball Association is nowhere near being the primary usage of "CBA". 1. Ambiguity. CBA is clearly an ambiguous term, even when it is narrowed down only to sports, as evidenced by CBA#Sports.
    1. WP:TITLEFORMAT says to Avoid ambiguous abbreviations
    2. WP:ACRONYMTITLE says when a title abbreviation is ambiguous, there is a strong preference for natural disambiguation
  2. Consistency.
    1. Per WP:CONSISTENCY, the article on the Chinese Basketball Association is at Chinese Basketball Association, not CBA, therefore it follows that its related pages should follow the same form.
The proposal also adheres to MOS:DATERANGE.
