Rename
editMaybe this article shouldn't be named for Uyesugi, but instead called something like "1999 Xerox massacre": that's really the subject, not the (otherwise unencyclopedic) Uyesugi. Other than a move, the opening paragraph would need to be tweaked to reflect the "new" subject. Note that I'm not suggesting splitting Uyesugi and the shooring into two articles. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 21:20, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with the preceding comment. The article name is very deceiving. --Dan Leveille (talk) 06:46, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- The article has been moved. --Dan Leveille (talk) 07:43, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- Since it has been moved from Byran Uyesugi, an article on the killer, Byran Uyesugi, should perhaps be created (since it's currently redirecting). Also, since it's no longer a "biography", could someone please remove the wikiprojects, if appropriate - I'm not positive how. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danlev (talk • contribs) 08:01, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Webpage Dedicated to Murderer
editMaybe the page should be edited so that it doesn't look so much like it's dedicated to the life of the murderer. It looks like, "Here is a list of the people he killed, and here is all about his childhood." Is the murderer really the center of such a tragic story? Are the victims really just side notes? —Preceding unsigned comment added by XgenX (talk • contribs) 02:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Rename?
editIt's typical for articles on crimes like this to be named for the city where they took place. As such, I advocate renaming this article "1999 Honolulu shootings". If there's no objection, I'll do the rename on Monday November 8. DS (talk) 01:47, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
- No objections made; rename implemented. DS (talk) 04:14, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
