I support merging the article Israeli prime ministerial election, 1999 to this article. In my opinion it would be a mistake to leave these articles separate only because some articles about elections in other countries have such a separation. In my opinion, in this specific case, this separation is unnecessary, confusing and redundant. Please note how similar the article Israeli prime ministerial election, 1999 was to this article before I expanded it - only when these two articles would be merged, we would be able to expand the merged version in the extend measure it deserves. As you can see for yourself, even in the parallel article in the Hebrew wikipedia there is only one article which covers the Israeli prime ministerial and legislative election of May 17, 1999. Threshold <2% ??

Was the threshold decreased from 1996's 2%, or why did to parties with 1.9% gain seats? --Roentgenium111 (talk) 16:51, 29 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

The threshold in 1996 was 1.5%. I'll amend that article. Number 57 18:31, 29 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
