I added the category "British colonial regiments" to this page. Please correct it if this category isn't applicable, or let me know and I'll find/create a more appropriate category. thanks! kateshortforbob 14:18, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Text under the photo states "An Indian Pattern Carrier Mk IIA named 'Dhar IV', North Africa, 10 April 1942. Possibly Skinner's Horse by the Divisional Emblem"

the text in between the wars states. "The Sikh Squadron, which had been part of the 3rd Skinner's Horse for 72 years, was disbanded."

as the soldiers in said vehicle are Sikh, one of them would be wrong — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.104.146.3 (talk) 16:55, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yellow uniforms, unique in the world...

edit

Many army units all over the world have been issued with yellow coats, for instance the Spanish dragoons in the 18th and early 19th centuries, and "The Canaries" (Neuchatel Battalion), a Swiss infantry regiment in Napoleon's army (and the yellow coat in homage to the local coat of arms).

And in the 17th century Spanish army there was an infantry regiment called Amarillos Viejos (Old Yellowcoats). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.85.148.202 (talk) 18:12, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
