1st SFR

Since all the Groups appear to be subordinate to the "1st Special Forces Regiment" (and have been since 2005), perhaps something should be written into this article? Not much info out there, but it is noted, (linked but uselessly) in the 1st SFG page lead sentence (w/o ref), and it's also noted (with ref) on the 5th and 19th SFG pages. Thoughts? (McChizzle?) "Regiment," in this context, is just an affiliation as is traditional with the U.S. Army Regimental System; it is not a command hierarchy for a unit like this. The wiki-link redirect from "1st Special Forces Regiment" to "1st Special Forces Command (Airborne)" is not appropriate. Yes, they are related but not always. For example, although the command of the 82nd Airborne Division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team could be considered in command of the 505th Infantry Regiment, they are not for that is not how the Army regimental system works. Note that the regimental system and actually Army regiments are different. --McChizzle (talk) 02:16, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I figured as much, (hence the 'not much info out there'), but it is noted in some of the SFG pages, with a ref from the army's website that seems to state that all the Groups are a part of this regiment. Even if it's just in a ceremomial/ traditional/ historical/ on-paper-somewhere-only context, I figured there should be some info to help readers looking for more to understand that, even if it's just a version of your explanation here, (perhaps under a sub-heading that the 1SFR redirect can link to), that can be added uniformly to all the SFG pages. Anyway, since you put a lot of work into these articles, I would defer to you on implementation. Cheers - wolf 02:43, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
If you want to figure out a way to add it, go for it. Just be careful not to confuse things more that the Army already has. ;-)
Although I served in the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), I was not considered part of the Special Forces Regiment for I was an intelligence analyst, not an 18 Series (a "green beret"); so... --McChizzle (talk)
Well, you still matter bro, (and thanks for your service.) Ok, I'll take a look it all in the next few days or so and try to sort it out. Cheers - wolf 04:09, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the term "Green Berets"

To avoid further confusion over the use of "Green Berets" in upper case, I offer these references:
