editThis article needs the following improvements:
- the history section needs fleshing out using a broader reference base,
- images need to be included,
- the COs need to have their ranks included, also dates of command if possible, and
- some details need to be confirmed - were there only two COs for the whole war? and also the number of decorations.
I have written this article with only the AWM information to go by. Therefore it is not very comprehensive, for which I apologise. If anyone has some more sources, it would be great if you could help improve this article as I have outlined above. Cheers. AustralianRupert (talk) 22:31, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

editI believe the colour patch is reversed on your page, its shows Green, Red, brown, I am sure it should be Brown Red Green, representing Mud, Blood and Grass fought through. --124.168.32.148 (talk) 07:00, 13 September 2020 (UTC) W. Havenaar 13 Sep 20
- G'day, yes that seems logical; however, plate 506 (which appears to be sourced from Distinguishing Colour Patches of the Australian Military Forces 1915-1951 by Keith Glyde) at this source appears to provides an example of the patch being Green, Red, Brown: [1]. Do you have a source that supports it as Brown, Red and Green? Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 08:27, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
