Michael Schumacher went faster to go second — Went faster than what?
he spun under braking for the Senna S chicane — I'm confused here. He under braked for the chicane, and thus spun? Or he spun under (whatever that means) while braking for the chicane? (Note that I slightly reworded this sentence for prose considerations, but am equally confused by both wordings.)
Barrichello in fourth was slower than the McLaren cars in the second sector and lost time due to the stoppage — What is the second sector? And wouldn't everyone have lost time due to the stoppage, not just him?
Is it that Wurz needed a spare car; the spare car was at the time setup for Fisichella; so Wurz took it and had it setup for him?
Wurz had to take the spare car because his previous one stalled. It is not stated in any of the sources that Wurz had the spare Benetton car setup for him after it was setup for Fisichella, so I have removed that piece of information. MWright96(talk)07:53, 4 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Got it. My confusion here was that I was reading the sentence to mean "after Wurz took the spare car, it was set up for Fisichella," rather than "Wurz took the spare car, which had previously been set up for Fisichella."
Race
Wurz began from the pit lane — Meaning he was getting his car fixed while the race started? Ouch.
My question is what they were appealing; did the sanctioning body say something like "there's too much wear on the boards; that's a violation of XYZ regulation; and therefore you're disqualified," and the drivers appealed that disqualification? Or something else.
The record for the youngest driver to score a Formula One World Championship point is currently held — I would rephrase to "as of 2020" (assuming that is still correct).
Got it, thanks for clarifying. I take it the ‡ has some sort of benefit beyond just being a symbol that can be seen? Otherwise, it would be duplicative since it only appears directly next to points totals, the existence of which it is intended to indicate.
