- Millennium Stadium is both overlinked and overused (three times in three sentences) in the opening para of the lead.
- "Arsenal's 17th appearance in a final and Southampton's fourth." seventeenth per MOSNUM.
- Link Premier League.
- Consider link Replay (sports), I'm not sure how common this term is for non-football sports.
- "it was to be his ..." It was to be Seaman's ... (last person you mention was Vieira).
- "converted in by" no need for "in".
- Link "header".
- "retained the competition since " retained the trophy makes more sense, or retained the title.
- Maybe link Champions League and UEFA Cup (relevant seasons maybe) in the lead.
- You may need to explain what (h), (a), and (n) are to non-expert readers.
- " Farnborough as the home team began the match in disastrous fashion" a bit tabloid, POV.
- Link "sent off"?
- "the previous season's final" could link that.
- Matt or Matthew Oakley? Be consistent.
- "sprightly" again, perhaps a little tabloid.
- Take care not to repeat first names after the first instance.
- You haven't linked Champions League anywhere.
- Check ref titles for compliance with en-dash.
- Be consistent with linking works and their format, e.g. is it The Guardian or guardian.co.uk?
A nice article. Some minor quibbles above so putting the article on hold. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:45, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for reviewing! I believe I have made your suggested corrections. Lemonade51 (talk) 14:44, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- No worries, good stuff. Any reason why ref 5 is guardian.co.uk? The Rambling Man (talk) 15:04, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- In order to differentiate both mediums; one refers to the publication (print edition) whereas the other is content published exclusively online (blogs, min-by-mins, PA). I've linked Ref 5's source, theguardian.com (who happen to have renamed its domain last week) for clarity. If content is both published on print and online, the newspaper title is cited.
