The Season Standings

edit

I did not have the attendence figures for away games or the goalie for the Canucks for each game. After an hour and a half of work on it, I can't see straight enough to do anymore. But it's a start, and is fairly decent already. Kaiser matias 03:53, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've been getting mine from ESPN. Though prior to 2001–02, I'm probably going to simply drop the attendance and goaltender columns, as the Flames media guide doesnt list those in it's game logs.
Also, a question, the scores as you have them now are somewhat confusing, as you dont necessaraly have the higher score pointing to the winning team. It looks somewhat awkward to see Calgary 2 – 1 Vancouver highlighted in green. Resolute 05:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
There's a simple explanation to that. I was trying to copy your chart, and assumed that you did the same as the NHL Guide and Record book, which was put the Vancouver/Calgary score first, followed by opponent. After looking at the Calgary chart, I see that was not the case. You seemed to have put it in order of away-home. So I think that we should either follow the NHL Record Book, and put whatever teams score first, or the conventional highest lowest, since the ways we each have done is somewhat confusing.

And a further thing. Could you create a spiffy template for the Canucks seasons as was done for the Flames. That thing is so effective, although I fear for what it will look like on a team like Montreal. Kaiser matias 06:13, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sure. I'll build a template for you tomorrow (probably late after the Hitmen game). The reason why I went with the scores as I did is that I prefer to see the score point ot the team that had it. So, for home wins, "Minnesota 2 – 5 Calgary" makes a lot more sense to me visually. Resolute 06:18, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It did to me as well, once I figured it out. Going to have to change all the scores on the chart now. Kaiser matias 06:51, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
