Separatist group

In an unexpected move, representatives of the Philippines’ largest Muslim separatist group will attend the opening of the SEA Games as a “goodwill measure”.

Judge Oath

Whoever watched the opening ceremony last November 27, kindly supply us the name of the person who delivered the judge's oath. Athletes' oath was delivered by Mikee Jaworski. Homboy 16:14, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

I checked the news report on the SEA Games opening on its official website and there was no indication of anyone administering the Judges' Oath. This has been subsequently indicated on the page. --Akira123323 13:09, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

It does not take much to realise just how badly administered the official site is, so I would caution against using it as the sole or primary information souce. If you guys did not realise, the entire table of atheletes/officials which I added and based on figures in the official site are completely erroneous and begging to be corrected.--Huaiwei 13:14, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Medal tally

I reorganized the table to be reflective of the total number of medals won, but I noticed that some versions stick to the number of gold medals won. Which version should we use to keep track of the medal tally? --Akira123323 15:38, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

I think we should go with ranking by gold medals. The total medal haul is a nice stat, but in my experience, it's the number of finishes by quality that counts. YMMV. Tagasilab 16:58, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Medal tables has traditionally stuck to rankings by quality of medals, not by the total number of medals won. This page should be of no exception. Meanwhile, please avoid playing around too much with its formatting, unless you guys are prepared to standardise all similar tables in every page of the SEA games, as well as that for other games.--Huaiwei 20:23, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Mascot definition

After observing the three definitions of "Gilas" (first elegance, then agility, then skill), the actual definition of the word is the first one. The definition is listed below (according to a Tagalog-English dictionary):

1. gallantry
2. elegance

The change has so far not been reflected on the page, as I don't know which definition to use.

I am a Filipino myself so I know the true meaning. The wrod Gilas means skill. For example, when you say "pakitang gilas" it means a display of skill. pakitang means to display and gilas means skill. hope it can help.
