New Article & Possibilities

edit

Yeah, so, I thought this could be a guideline to eventually making articles for each US state's public offices that are decided by all the voters in a state, but excluding federal elections. I don't expect each office to have its own election article, since most of them hardly get the notice that Governor's races and other high-profile races tend to garner. Suggestions, comments, etc, would be cool, especially if anyone could do something to inform the other politics/elections-minded Wikipedians about this stuff. Thanks. --JMurphy 17:05, 8 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Supposed Write-In Candidate for SMI removed

edit

I reverted edits made by 68.3.20.55 for two reasons. First, the supposed candidate is not registered with the Secretary of State's office, and is therefor not even a write-in candidate, and second, it would seem unlikely that a senior in high school would fill the requirements that all candidates for state mine inspector must have three years experience underground, let alone any age requirements on the office, probably being 25 years. --JMurphy 04:03, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, sounds like a hoax, or someone trying to get people to write him in by adding himself to the article. --Aguerriero (talk) 05:10, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Discussion

edit

This has come out of a discussion in Candidates and elections, about how using terms like "statewide" or "executive" in the names of articles would leave out certain offices that handle state functions, but either function as boards or commissions or are elected from districts. --JMurphy 19:00, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Want to start a new article? Maybe, Arizona ballot decisions, 2006, since not all of them were props. --JMurphy 03:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
