The organisers of the event call it the European Athletics Championships, so do the media in English speaking countries: why the strange word order in the WP title for the article? Kevin McE 13:28, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Relays
editNot sure if this is the best play to ask this, but wouldn't it be a good idea to include the name sof the members of the relay teams who get medals? Currently I don't think this is included in any results pages, but would be a good thing to start to include. Most teams will only have 4 names to add. It just seems a bit odd, empty and incomplete not to have the names there. Evil Eye 15:39, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'd say we should absolutely, obviously, include the participants on each team. Take a look at how it's done in Olympic medalists in biathlon, for example. With the participants listed, the reader is informed of the varying composition of the national teams, revealing e.g. those athletes who never got individual medals, but took part in one or more successful relay teams. --Wernher 02:03, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
UK vs GBR&NI
editI notice the the article is undecided on whether to list the Union Jack team(s) under the text "United Kingdom" or "Great Britain and Northern Ireland". We should correct this, I think. --Wernher 02:07, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- The official site (see for instance [1]) uses Great Britain & NI, so we should probably stick with that. Punkmorten 22:24, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Göteborg 2006 logo.svg
editImage:Göteborg 2006 logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:40, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
