editI had to change the Eric Johnson link beacuse it took you here, which is no good.
Team flags
editI would like to have the flags next to teams and leagues be the flag of the COUNTRY that the league is mainly from...this would mean teams such as Spokane of the WHL would still carry the Canada flag. The 3 leagues are part of the Canadian Hockey League, and I would like it to show that he developed his skills playing in a Canadian league (No, I'm not Candian) The point of the flags are to show quickly where the players were drawn from...seeing the US flag makes me think he played USHS, NCAA, or US Junior, not in a Canadian league.

- Well, that's completely at odds with the way every other draft is laid out, as well as the way it's recorded on NHL.com and stuff too. BoojiBoy 23:48, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- NHL.com doesn't have countries of the league they played in. I'm not talking about the nationality, but the flag next to the team/league. scsgoal31 23:52, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- My apologies for misunderstanding you. I think those flags will be deleted, no other draft article has them and it's against the layout at WP:HOCKEY. BoojiBoy 00:05, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- I was going to make those same comments about how it is against WP:HOCKEY and suggest that is be looked into as to whether or not it breaches Wikipedia's fair use policy also. MBob 00:09, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Flags are public domain so it's not against WP:FUP, but the flags should be deleted next to the team names. Only the player's nationality flags should be used. BoojiBoy 00:11, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Awesome, so no one minds if they get taken down now? They're just bothering me the way they are...and it should follow WP:HOCKEY anyway. scsgoal31 00:14, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Knock yourself out. BoojiBoy 00:15, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
33 picks in 2nd round?
editCan anyone explain to me how/why there were 33 picks in the 2nd round? It looks like an error to me. Dolovis (talk) 23:50, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Teams get a compensation pick in the second round for any 1st rounder they have drafted in a previous draft that has gone unsigned and re-enters the draft. The position of the pick is based on where he was drafted. If he was drafted 15th overall, then the compensatory pick is the 15th pick of the 2nd round. Most likely that is what these are from. -DJSasso (talk) 01:48, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
