Massive infobox
editthe infobox at the bottom is massive - how about removing most of it to leave the 2007-08 specific entries? Fedgin | Talk 17:23, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure how its size matters when it's at the bottom of the article. It's not like we have to scroll past it to continue reading. - Dudesleeper · Talk 20:02, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Results table
editI can't see how the new results table format will work given that teams play each other at least three times per season. Forbsey 16:52, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- The format of this league always confuses me. but as I understand it each team will play every other team in the league 3 times, either 2 home 1 away or 1 home 2 away (this seems strange to me, surely teams playing 2 home 1 away have an automatic advantage). Then after that the league is split in half, the top and bottom six forming their own leagues (which can lead to the teams in the bottom half of the final table having more points than some in the top half as they have easier games, like in 2005-06).
- So if I have the format correct, it will be quite an untidy article. It will need 4 results tables, 1 will have lots of blanks. Someone may be able to come up with a new results template, but I can't see how it would work.Darryl.matheson (talk) 00:58, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
I am in the process of making a results box for the 3rd part of the season (ie fixtures 23-33) pre-split...it's basically a carbon copy of the current one except that the games which wont be played in those rounds nulled out (eg Kilmarnock vs. Celtic, Rangers vs. Hearts). When it is done I shall post a preview here for people to judge if it should be put on. --Mintyhead (talk) 13:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Hat Tricks
editI think it would be a good idea to have a table listing all Hat-tricks scored during the season like this one, But I don't know the details to fill it with although I am sure I could find out. Does anyone have any objections? Darryl.matheson (talk) 17:47, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Match reports in results table?
editIs there anyway we can create a new results table template which allows us to link each score to the respective BBC match report (e.g. rather than simply 3-1, have 3-1). This is not only useful, but also helps with verifiability. Franky843 (talk) 18:30, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- I am sure the template could be changed to allow that but I quite like how at the moment their are links to derby articles like the Old Firm. If you look at the results table here I think the arrows in that table are quite distracting, It is done far better here, where the links in the results table take you to the individual match summaries but obliviously there is not that level of detail for all SPL matches, perhaps the results could link to the match summary on the home teams 2007-08 season page but not every team in the SPL has a 2007-08 season page like fo example Aberdeen do. 10 points deducted from Gretna for entering administration
editLooks like Gretna has lost 10 points for going into administration: [1]. The league table has been adjusted accordingly.--Alasdair 20:39, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Intertoto
editDoes anyone know which clubs have applied for the Intertoto cup? Falkirk are the only team that I have heard have applied. Darryl.matheson (talk) 13:35, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Attendances
editshould the attendances table not be sorted by average attandance by default, or if not by team name. Sorting by Stadium capacity made sense when it was a stadia table, but now that it is an attendances table I think it should be sorted average attendance like it was in last season's article. Darryl.matheson (talk) 18:38, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have already re-sorted them by average attendance when I added in the details. Not sure whether we should include the opponents for which 'Highest' and 'Lowest' attendances were set? Franky843 (talk) 22:49, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't know what made me think they had not already been sorted. Interesting point about the opponents for the attendances, I can't decide whether they should be included or not, perhaps you should ask here. Darryl.matheson (talk) 01:08, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
