Notability
editI removed the notability tag from this article. It is referenced and a developing event. Given a few days for things to develop then consideration should be given to keeping the article as a stand alone article on the wikipedia or merging it with another. But a earthquake that has caused damage to a town seems pretty notable to me. Leaderofearth (talk) 22:32, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
A death of a heart attack is not an related earthquake death and the reference should be removed - while the earthquake is the trigger for the attack it is primarily caused by an underlying health issue. It would be comparable to attributing a person who has a fatal attack while jogging as death by excercise. The death should also be removed from the number of deaths table on the earthquakes in NZ page to reflect that there have been no earthquake fatalities in NZ since the 1968 Buller earthquake. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.101.215.243 (talk) 10:16, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
