By-elections in Australia normally appear to be sufficiently notable to get their own articles and with a wealth of reliable sources essentially inevitable, they would appear to satisfy WP:N in their own right. The Port Maquarie by-election has little to do with the other three held this weekend - there's also a significant difference between the reason for the Ryde by-election as opposed to the Lakemba and Cabramatta by-elections, even if one event did precipiate a chain of events that caused the other two.
