Not cancelled
editI would like to know how it is not a cancellation. They were supposed to be there, and they did not. And I don't appreciate terms like 'bloody foreigners' being used in edit summaries. --Falcadore (talk) 06:45, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- It was an anonymous IP editor - just ignore them. They're likely the "bloody foreigners" anyway... TheChrisD Rants•Edits 10:57, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Move article?
editAs all 2009 races have now been cancelled, should the article be moved to 2010 A1 Grand Prix season, or should we leave it is is for when the series collapses completely? --Falcadore (talk) 10:07, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Move to 2010, since 2009 is no longer involved. If it collapses completely, then the article should probably be redirected instead to a Demise or a similarly named section in the main A1GP article. TheChrisD Rants•Edits 10:38, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Don't move. The cancellation of 2009 rounds is part of the season progress. - Rollof1 (talk) 08:47, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- Move to 2010, but give a mention in the opening paragraphs somewhere that it was scheduled to contain races in 2009 too and the reasons for them being cancelled. Don't think there will actually be anymore A1GP races anyway so might have to then revert it back to the planned 2009-2010 season. --Roadblocker (talk) 11:30, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- It's probably best to leave it as 2009-10 A1GP season. If the planned races in early 2010 actually happen, then we could change it to 2010 A1GP season. But like previously said, the series could abruptly end, meaning it would be best to leave it as the 2009-10 season with cancellation notes added (like the 2008 Champ Car season page).
- It would be a shame if A1GP ended. I've enjoyed watching it. It's been the only way for me to watch an American on the international racing scene. 97.125.104.130 (talk) 02:58, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Is A1GP dead?
editI read on the main A1GP page that hope is not lost (altho it is pretty unlikely that it will continue). It states that:
'If a revival plan for the series has not been agreed with interested investment parties by early May 2010 then the A1 Grand Prix assets will be put up for auction.'
I was putting things into present tense because of this. An example is where the Indian GP would be included in the fifth season if the series lives to see them days. I'm not sure if that is the right thing to do. :/
Also, it looks like no-one has heard of the Mexican and Brazilian GP's being staged so in that case, I classed them as cancelled in the intro. I'm not trying to ruin ur lives or anythin lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.138.81 (talk) 13:52, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Proposed merge of 2009–10 A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Australia into 2009–10 A1 Grand Prix season
editAn event that didn't take place, and the little information about it can be incorporated in the main season article (the season itself didn't take place either). No need for a permastub about a race that was cancelled Joseph2302 (talk) 15:52, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- I agree with this. No need for a separate article. A7V2 (talk) 11:23, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- I agree agree with this for all the reasons above. --Jamo62 (talk) 10:24, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Joseph2302 and Jamo62: I was about to simply redirect 2009–10 A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Australia to the section 2009–10 A1 Grand Prix season#Season calendar (since I couldn't find anything worth merging that wasn't already in this article) but I noticed there is another article on this (non-)race, 2009 Nikon SuperGP. Whether that should be merged as well (it seems a bit POV), or perhaps be merged into 2009 V8 Supercar Challenge I don't know. It's certainly not as simple as it first appeared.
