Teams
editIf anyone knows a location to obtain all of the teams eligible to enter the tournament as well as those who actually do enter the tournament then please provide the source or update the page. Basic information about the tournament is scarce. The CFU is very slow to provide or update information. Thanks. JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 18:13, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Dunno, but regarding to the Bermudian clubs, I just want to point that such clubs has never played a match in the CFU Club Championship, however they did play CONCACAF Champions Cup play-offs as representatives of the North American Zone, being the last in 1992. BTW, I think the only 2008 CFU Club Championship match was the 2007 third place (qualifier to the CONCACAF Champions League 2008–09). JC (talk) 10:48, 21 November 2008 (PST)
- The only reason that third place match was even played was so that the third CFU team could be determined for the CCL. It's my understanding that the 2008 CFU Club Championship was cancelled/postponed (depending on how you look at it) until spring 2009 since it is closer on the calendar to the CONCACAF Champions League 2009–10, for which this tournament is the qualifier. If any of the clubs listed don't or traditionally won't play in the CFU Club Championship it's only because I'm going on info I've found on the internet. The CFU does a poor job of keeping its website updated. I've heard that they've changed the format for the tournament this year, including 2 club entries per federation, but I haven't been able to find a reliable source, something that isn't self-published info, to reference that yet. - I am not sure how the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation is choosing their representatives, but San Juan Jabloteh and W Connection finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the TT Pro League in 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mppemberton (talk • contribs) 15:12, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Why did the Islanders use their subs for the Final???
