Infobox image
editSo obviously this image has to go back in there somewhere
But it's so huge in the infobox that even without the palmarès, the infobox extends down into the "teams" section and begins the squish the text. It'd be a downright eyesore with the palmarès added. Since I seem to be the only person in the world who notices these things (or whose screen shows them), I'll back these claims up with screenshots if need be. I tried about a million different places to insert the picture, but they all somehow squished the text in the entire article to one side, and that's no good. About the only workable spot I could find is next to the prologue results, like where the intermediate GC would be for other stages. Nosleep break my slumber 12:09, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- I put the image back in by using {{clear}}. This makes a break right before the teams are listed, but once the palmares are ready there will be an open gap between the infobox down to the team list. Which forces us to remove the clear-template. I suggest you go and buy yourself a new monitor, Alex. =) Preferably a wide-screen monitor! If not, it would be profitable if you could upload a screenshot, so I can see what you're dealing with... lil2mas (talk) 14:17, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ehh....it looks exactly the same as before. I suppose I'll wait until the palmarès are there to try to futz with it again. Nosleep break my slumber 14:06, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
[1] It dips down into the "teams" section, and as my snazzy red lines indicate, it'll do so even more once the palmarès are there. And I can't afford a new computer, thank you very much. Nosleep break my slumber 13:08, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- You know what would probably make this ok? Putting the teams in two columns instead of three. Doesn't scroll all that much, and the infobox wouldn't squash anything in that situation. Nosleep break my slumber 13:21, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- Two columns would do the trick, but three columns are preferable, so I reduced the width of the two first columns. Now it no longer will squish the table on your screen, I hope and think. If the infobox gets wider after the palmarès are put in, you may try and reduce the width further. lil2mas (talk) 18:25, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- Meh, that doesn't really help. It squishes the text, too ("Bbox Bouygues Telecom," "Euskaltel-Euskadi," "Française des Jeux," and "Garmin-Slipstream" are now on two lines - can't we have more one-word cycling team names?! :P ). It basically does what the expanding infobox would have done anyway. Nosleep break my slumber 19:12, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- I changed from %-width to fixed widths, that should help. The squishing of the text is something we just have to live with, when the intro is too short. I don't think that it hurts anyway. BTW: I'm with you on the one-worded team names. =) lil2mas (talk) 19:49, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- Looks ok now. Nosleep break my slumber 19:51, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Nibali
editHow is it possible that Vincenzo Nibali stands 5th in general classification when he didn't finish the 4th stage? He broke his collar bone when chasing Lars Bak in the last 5 km. I am not sure that he didn't finish - that is, I didn't see him not finish - but I do saw some photographs where Nibali looked really damaged and not capable of riding after his fall. --NielsB (talk) 12:39, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, some research was enough to find the answer quickly myself. The fall took place in the last 3 km so he got the same finish-time as the chasing group. --NielsB (talk) 12:41, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, he's DNS for Stage 6. The classification for Stage 5 as listed here is the race's official classification, so I guess it doesn't really matter if he finished Stage 5 or not. Nosleep break my slumber 13:02, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
