editI saw a report that another exit had been padlocked. If this is confirmed, you might want to add Category:Fire disasters involving barricaded escape routes. --Kizor 18:26, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- Can only find this "blog type" article for a reference so far.... sidecarsally.com SriMesh | talk 21:45, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey, this is a bit picky but the article is referring to the victims as 'kids'. This is slang really. Made the edit. 88.109.14.58 (talk) 07:13, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, thanks for doing that. --Kizor 20:47, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
You are forgetting to talk about the death number 48, and about the close relation between the Governor Bours and the owners of the day care facility, who also had government jobs in his administration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.193.204.151 (talk) 01:05, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Article name
editAt this time, the article is titled "2009 Hermosillo daycare center fire" but begins by referring to the "ABC daycare center fire." An article should only have one title and it should have that title as its name. Renaming articles is simple but articles on recent disasters often end up going back-and-forth, causing flame wars and a lot of other problems. To help avoid this, please do not move this article but instead voice your opinions on names here, until 20:00 server time (GMT) on Thursday the 11th of June.
If there's a decision by then, great. if the Mexican or even the English-speaking media predominantly uses one, that gives it some "official" status beyond our decision and we should use that. Mexicans and members of the fire and disaster wikiprojects, please speak up. --Kizor 20:47, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Copy editing
editI made numerous changes and I removed the "need copy-editing" tags. I think the article reads well now but I want to make clear that I didn't fact-check.
Since this is such a tragic event, in the name of all the victims and survivors, I hope that someone can review the edits for accuracy.
Pope Benedict's message was especially touching. I hope we can keep everyone in our thoughts and prayers. BrandenburgG (talk) 18:24, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
