new Ukraine influenza pandemic article.

edit

very pleased that this new article has been created.as Ukraine had very intense influenza activity throughout November with a number of deaths, hemorrhagic pneumonia cases, and allegations of possible mutation of the h1n1 virus, the events in Ukraine warrant a separate article for sure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.244.148.235 (talk) 16:43, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Removed the expand and update templates: have done nothing but expanding and updating it the last months + latest figures available are now in the article puting more info in it is lickly to be very trivial (I presume). I'm open for suggestions of course. — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 23:01, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in 2009 flu pandemic in Ukraine

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2009 flu pandemic in Ukraine's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 16:51, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Expanding request

edit

I don't want to look unpleasant but I don't understand this request for expanding.... Like I wrote above I think expanding it even further will be nothing more then putting more trivial information into the article. Please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia not an almanac. What kind of extra info does this article need? — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 15:46, 10 December 2009 (UTC) although you are correct that this article is already fairly large, further info on the flu pandemic in ukraine would be useful, esp about the recent devolopments.24.97.164.250 (talk) 15:04, 11 December 2009 (UTC)i agree that this article requires expansion, and have put the expand template back onto this article.i agree with the above user that the recent devolopments in ukraines flu epidemic need to be better covered in this article.169.244.148.235 (talk) 18:38, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please be more specific. — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 22:23, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

at the begining of the flu outbreak in ukraine, there was fairly intense media coverage, but once it was known that the h1n1 influenza in ukraine was not mutated, media coverage trailed off, though WHO contiued to say there was h1n1 influenza activity in ukraine.i would like to see more info on flu outbreak in ukraine between mid november and now in this article.24.97.164.250 (talk) 15:13, 12 December 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.97.164.250 (talk) 15:11, 12 December 2009 (UTC) .hello?mariah?24.97.164.250 (talk) 14:47, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm here ;), I personally think that lately not much new interesting (enough for an encyclopedia) developments have occurred in connection with this subject, but feel free to include info! The number of casualty's is regularity updated at Kyiv Post; but I'm to lazy to update the numbers daily... Good luck and Happy Holidays! — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 17:20, 24 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

i completly agree.there have been almost no notable devolopments on H1N1 in ukraine since December, though the WHO did say that several easteren europe countrys (including ukraine) were having a resurgance of A/H1N1 flu.hope you had a merry christmas and happy new year!24.97.164.250 (talk) 22:27, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Allegations of a seperate flu, N1N1

edit

What about the allegations of N1N1, there have been rampant allegations of a possible mutation of the H1N1 virus in Ukraine. Why is there no article about N1N1, not even a debunking article? There have been 37 deaths in Ukraine apparently unidentified and not related to Swine Flu (H1N1), and some have termed the pathogen "Hemmoraghic Pneumonia", "N1N1", or "The Pneumatic Plague". What does Wikipedia say about this? Is this worth a seperate article or no? 65.188.243.101 (talk) 20:43, 10 January 2010 (UTC) When you say N1N1,do you mean H1N1 or not?Immunize (talk) 20:03, 12 January 2010 (UTC) Also, remember, hemorrhagic pneumonia is not a pathogen but a condition that can be brought on by any number of individual pathogens.Immunize (talk) 17:01, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
