editImagine if there was a 2010-2011 American winter article which lists the Atlanta snowstorm and Los Angeles brush fires?
The floods in Africa is flooding of several rivers. Maybe the American press' geographical knowledge is not complete so they lump everything together.
WP just reports the news so if the news is poorly reported, we copy.
