Tiebreakers
editCan we put a section on tiebreakers? I don't know them myself. So I'd appreciate if someone put them. Nlsanand (talk) 06:39, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Monthly Award Winners
editDoes anyone feel that having Monthly and Weekly Awards is useless information to add? It takes up too much space and no other professional sport league pages will add their monthly winners, because it is unimportant. I think it is better to put in the actual award winners and all-stars, because that is more valuable information than some player who just happens to be good for one week or month. - Its not an overly long season article to begin with. At the end of the season, I could see a discussion about removing them in favour of the big awards, but I don't think length is an issue for this page, nor is it likely to be even at the end of the season. The league hands 'em out every season, so I think they are worthy of being recorded. Canada Hky (talk) 20:26, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- I still think it will be too long for the article, because in previous season articles the numerous All-Star lineups from the league, the west, the east, and cflpa take up most of the article. In addition, I think mentioning people who were good for just one week is not worth mentioning. However, the monthly awards I think is meaningful, because it can lead to eventual year-ending award winners or all-star ballot.
East-to-West Crossover
editI know it a long shot, but would it be fair to point out that Winnipeg lost 9 to 10 close games (pretty much half of their season) by 5 points or less (a record btw), that had at least 4 of those games had been Wins instead of loses, Winnipeg would have crossed over into the west, being the first East team to do so? In the other seasons which were much closer (by 1 win in both cases), 1999 CFL season with Winnipeg and 2001 CFL season with Toronto, I have mentioned 2010 as a possibility, though not as likely as the other two. For the record, this is the worst season Winnipeg has had since 1998 (where they finish with a 3-15 record) but this team could have been in the playoffs had fortuned turned the other way. I think this should be mentioned in the CFL season news section at least.--74.60.232.185 (talk) 05:24, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Actually I have to concede that fact now, with 4 to 5 wins, 4 is possible but 5 is a long shot and too much to ask for, I'm not gonna put the 2010 season in the range of possibility, Winnipeg is done and had a shot but no real chance. --24.126.188.244 (talk) 21:30, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
