Scientific Report Published
editthis report seems to cover the entire eruption pretty thoroughly. EdwardLane (talk) 13:48, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Fresh activity
editnew earthquake swarm with several hundred fresh quakes, most over mag 2.0 and several mag 3+ in the last week or so. I'm expecting a fresh eruption/reactivation of the vent in the las Calmas sea. EdwardLane (talk) 10:33, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

- Well I can be bold and write what I think has occurred including Long Period earthquakes, and so forth, but finding a wp reliable source for the info might be difficult, I can link to the IGN page with the seismograph data but it still needs interpretation before that becomes a useful reference, and there are a bunch of blog pages that look good, wired science, volcanocafe and earthquake-report but I've never been sure that those count as reliable sources (though I think those 3 are generally very reliable) and I've just not been online for any length of time to figure out what the wikipedia policy is on all that sort of stuff. You also get the Pevolca/IGN press statements but they seem slanted to political ends, so I'm loath to use them especially where they are contradicting each other even about whether or not there is a 'situation' at all in El Hierro.
