New series name

edit

Looks like the article will have to be moved to 2011 V8 Supercars Championship as V8 Supercar are set to change their series name, as previewed on Speedcafe. Still want to wait a week before performing the move and get confirmation of the new series name. --Falcadore (talk) 01:38, 26 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Steve Owen's number

edit

Recent edits to the page claim that Steve Owen has changed his number from 67 to 49. However, there are no mentions of the change in number in the reference supplied. Please stop reverting the edits back to the number 49 because there is no evidence of this. Prisonermonkeys (talk)

Did you actually read the provided reference which says - and I quote:
Walkinshaw Racing and Paul Morris Motorsport have elected to change the numbers of their cars ahead of this year’s V8 Supercars Championship.
Walkinshaw Racing will enter Fabian Coulthard in the #61 Bundaberg Red Racing Commodore VE, while PMM has given Steve Owen #49 for his return to the championship, driving the VIP Petfoods-backed Commodore.

Then why didn't you edit it into the table to begin with? If it's a change, it should be referenced. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 11:30, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I told you why. A change of race number is not notable enough for independant referencing. The race number has zero effect on a drivers race performance. It's just signage. --Falcadore (talk) 11:52, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
