editWe've had this problem before... we don't yet know whether this by-election will be in 2012. It seems probable, but it could be pushed back to 2013. Bondegezou (talk) 12:35, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Safe seat vacated in September yells 2012 to me. I *know* some might consider this OR but we're not Canada or Australia, we don't keep by-elections in the air for months on end. In fact I think legislation exists to ensure that we can't have a 2013 election. In times gone by, of course, editors here (me included) would have redirected the article to the constituency one until a number of candidates were confirmed but I think those days have long gone...doktorb wordsdeeds 12:52, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- The Mid Ulster by-election, 2012 was triggered when McGuiness resigned in mid-June and it still doesn't a have a date fixed, so presumably will be after Corby by-election, 2012 and the other two in mid-November. I.e., over 5 months later. If this by-election takes that long, it will be in 2013. Jus' sayin'! Bondegezou (talk) 19:30, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- I know what you're saying, though McGuiness hasn't resigned quite yet (let's all remember the fun and games we had when Gerry Adams 'resigned'). They do things differently in Northern Ireland ;) I'm going to guess that Croydon North will be November. There's as much indication the day after his death as you'd expect so let's leave things as they are now, for now. There's always the magic redirect button of course doktorb wordsdeeds 19:38, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
