NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai described the election as counter-productive for a peaceful settlement of the conflict and said that NATO did not intend to recognise it.

Is there a source providing alternatives, the way this is presented is that he'd rather see an anti-democratic system rather than an election. I was not aware that democracy could be counter-productive.JediXmaster (talk) 07:18, 10 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
