Redundant dates
editThe sections already mention the month in which the list of the elections follow, Hence it seems redundant to restate, especially more so in that it is a small section that is easily viewable in the same screen. Not sure how it makes it "unreadable"(Lihaas (talk) 01:34, 24 January 2012 (UTC)).
- It is not exactly "unreadable", but it's just easier and more comfortable to read if you have the full dates. What speaks against it? We have enough space to make it comfortable to read for everyone (including Nightstallion and me). --RJFF (talk) 01:59, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
- And me as well. There needs to be a "Why for" argument before disputing the "Why not" argument. Therequiembellishere (talk) 15:32, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, exactly. I see no reason to remove the dates. —Nightstallion 17:28, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

World Bank
editAs a supranational institution (even 1 step above states), what does consensus think about its viability here as at least on part with states? i(incidentally the UN elections are/should be here)Lihaas (talk) 07:13, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
If the article were renamed to National and Supranational elections, then that would be fine. Or there could be a separate article for Supranational elections. But there's no reason to list them here right now. Ratemonth (talk) 12:41, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Agree with Ratemonth. The national electoral calendar is for national elections. Neither World Bank nor UN should be included. --RJFF (talk) 13:09, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Merge
editI redirect List of elections in 2012 here as the cotnent is the same with 2 different lists.Lihaas (talk) 09:41, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
Elections summary
editWhat would people who read this think about inserting a brief (one-sentence) summary of the results in this page? For example, instead of just mentioning Wadiya has held a presidential election, we could add the sentence "Incumbent President Aladeen wins re-election with 114% of votes." Just that, just mentioning who won, by what margin and whether they were incumbents or challengers; for referenda, whether they passed or failed and so on. 189.120.107.71 (talk) 17:31, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- I think that this is what wikilinks are for. Who wants to know more about any of the listed elections, can simply follow the wikilink to the respective article. --RJFF (talk) 17:36, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
While I agree that's the reason the specific election articles exist, I think not everyone wants to load (especially on a mobile) a sometimes very long page with tables, country templates, discussion of political issues involved in the election, months' or years' worth of opinion polls, and results detailed to the very last minor candidate in the very last rural constituency. I think sometimes people just want to know the outline, and I think this page would be a good place to give them that, don't you agree? 189.120.107.71 (talk) 18:06, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
