I will review this article. — Cirt (talk) 20:45, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Good article nomination on hold
editThis article's Good Article promotion has been put on hold. During review, some issues were discovered that can be resolved without a major re-write. This is how the article, as of April 21, 2013, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: Good use of structural formatting and paragraph organization. I'd only recommend a few things:
- Request a copyedit through a post to the folks over at WP:GOCE, and also please post to talk pages of relevant WikiProjects with a polite request for some previously uninvolved editors to read over the article and perform some copyediting.
- Awards - I'd suggest to redo this section and make it a tabular format instead of paragraph format. There's a pretty good suggested formatting at the WP:GA quality page, Korn#Awards_and_nominations.
- Lede/intro - please add a couple sentences to the lede/intro summarizing the plot of the play itself.
- Talkback panels and fundraising - I'd recommend splitting the first paragraph in this sect into two smaller paragraphs.
- 2. Factually accurate?: Duly cited throughout, meticulously referenced.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: As noted above, good structure, nice paragraph organization, the article is indeed thorough for its intended scope.
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Neutral presentation, NPOV wording usage.
- 5. Article stability? No stability issues upon inspection of article edit history and talk page history.
- 6. Images?: Four images are used:
- File:She Has a Name.jpg = appropriate fair use rationale, image checks out okay.
- File:She Has a Name 2011 - Grooming.jpg image at Wikimedia Commons, but missing info in date field.
- File:RCMP officers Beth, Janice & Harp 2.jpg image at Wikimedia Commons, image checks out okay.
- File:She Has a Name 2012 - Voices.jpg image at Wikimedia Commons, but missing info in date field.
Please address these matters soon and then leave a note here showing how they have been resolved. After 48 hours the article should be reviewed again. If these issues are not addressed within 7 days, the article may be failed without further notice. Thank you for your work so far. — Cirt (talk) 18:33, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking on this nomination. I have switched the "Awards" section to a tabular format, added two sentences about the play's plot to the lead, split the first paragraph of the "Talkback panels and fundraising" section in two, added dates for the two images previously missing dates, and posted notices of this GAN on all the relevant WikiProjects with a note requesting independent copyedits. I have not requested a copyedit at WP:GOCE as this article has already received a copyedit from that group. Is a single article eligible for multiple GOCE copyedits? If so, I can submit this article for another. Neelix (talk) 19:14, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for such responsiveness to my recommendations, I'll perform another evaluation soon, taking this into account. — Cirt (talk) 21:35, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
