"Casualties"

edit

A casualty is -- "a person killed or injured in a war or accident."

Detainees are NOT casualties. The current wording in the infobox is POV and inflammatory. --Urartu TH (talk) 19:45, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Article's lack of focus

edit

I'm confused - is this article about the protests that took place after the presidential elections? Or, as it appears, has it now become an all-encompassing article that includes mention of every minor demonstration that took place this year? The lead seems to suggest the former while the rest of the body indicates the latter.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 21:38, 10 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the article is a little messy. I initially created it for the protests after the presidential election, however, the various protests that took place afterwards are also important, so I added about them as well. Right now the article is about all anti-government protests that took (and will take) place in Armenia in 2013. The lead does talk about the protests by Raffi Hovannisian and other protests. If you look at the 'Timeline of protests', you'll see that it's divided into 3 sections: 'Barevolution' (i.e. protests immediately after the presidential election by Hovannisian), "Pre-parliament protests" that took place between May and July and "Other protests" that include protests by Karabakh war veterans, mass protests against the increase in public transportation fares (probably the most effective one so far), "Shant Harutyunyan's revolution" and some other minor protests. --Երևանցի talk 21:53, 10 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I see. Perhaps the introduction should be modified to reflect that reality or the other protests can be moved to other/their own pages.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 05:40, 12 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
