Infobox - "Elected" Prime Minister
editI don't think the terminology used in the infobox is quite right. Cook Islands' government is based on the principles of the Westminster System, isn't it? That would mean that the Prime Minister is not directly elected by the voters; he is appointed by the Queen of New Zealand and will continue to hold that office at her pleasure.
While the end result is the same, strictly speaking the people only elected their parliamentary representatives. It is the prerogative of the Queen to appoint someone of 'her choosing' who can command its support.
</pedantry>
- I agree. I will change it to "Prime Minister after election" to match the "before" one. Number 57 11:44, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
