Nomination Opening Date
editIs there a citation for the January 6, 2014 date cited in the article?
Hamilton City Hall is open on January 2, 2014 and the Clerks office will be open for normal business.
Section 33.4 of the Municipal Elections Act states:
Time for filing
(4) The nomination may be filed, (a) on any day in the year of the regular election that is before nomination day, at a time when the clerk’s office is open; or (b) on nomination day, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. 1996, c. 32, Sched., s. 33 (4); 2009, c. 33, Sched. 21, s. 8 (15).
By this law, and the business hours of City Hall, nominations open January 2, 2014. JoeyColeman (talk) 06:30, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Baldasaro in Ward 3
editThe context of the conversation cited was in jest and not a serious declaration of interest by Mr. Baldasaro to run.
I propose to remove it as it fails to meet standards for inclusion due to the context not matching with what is implied by inclusion in the list. JoeyColeman (talk) 01:30, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
