Canada - Spain score

edit

For the Canada - Spain match the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup website says the score was 31 - 5 (http://www.rwcwomens.com/home/matches/match=14616/index.html) but everywhere else says 31 - 7, what was the actual score? Who should we accept as being right? - okaeverywhere (talk) 02:33, 4 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

The TV footage listed the score as 31-7, however, reviewing the match footage, the commentator clearly says "and the conversion goes begging", without showing the kick. Have corrected the score.Magpieram (talk) 23:50, 6 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Women's match format

edit

I noticed in the pools section that there is a different format for scores between the pools and the knock-out stage. The pools seems to be a specialised format for women's rugby, while the knock-out phase seems to be the general rugby scores format.Magpieram (talk) 05:32, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Presuming the finals are counted as Test matches and the numbering of the knockout stage matches follows the last pool match (i.e. no gaps in the sequence due to matches outside the tournament) then I make the sequence as follows:
1. [1075] 14:00 13 August 2014 South Africa 25–24 Samoa
3. [1077] 16:15 13 August 2014 Spain 18–5 Kazakhstan
7. [1081] 12:00 17 August 2014 Samoa 31–0 Kazakhstan
8. [1082] 14:00 17 August 2014 South Africa 0–36 Spain
5. [1079] 18:30 13 August 2014 Australia 20–23 United States
2. [1076] 15:45 13 August 2014 New Zealand 63–7 Wales
10. [1084] 16:00 17 August 2014 Australia 30–3 Wales
9. [1083] 14:15 17 August 2014 United States 5–55 New Zealand
4. [1078] 18:00 13 August 2014 Ireland 7–40 England
6. [1080] 20:45 13 August 2014 France 16–18 Canada
11. [1085] 16:30 17 August 2014 Ireland 18–25 France
12. [1086] 18:45 17 August 2014 England 21–9 Canada
Can anyone confirm this? If so, the article should be updated with this numbering using the specialised women's format. -- Ham105 (talk) 19:23, 7 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
