Article protection

Viewing the recent history of this article, I see no fewer than three distinct episodes of vandalism in the past 30 days from IP addresses which trace to Mumbai. Can this page be protected, at least temporarily, to prevent this from continuing? -- Jkudlick (talk) 11:26, 10 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

It hasn't been that bad TBH, so I'd leave it as it is. The worst culprit I've seen with first hand experience was an account that would constantly Spam this and the 2017 U20 World Cup wiki about Peru. IanCleverly (talk) 21:06, 11 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Very well. Thanks for the response. -- Jkudlick (talk) 02:11, 12 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Elimination on 3rd Place

edit

Why does it say that Honduras is eliminated on the 3rd place chart (i know fifa.com says so (even though they say that it is theortically possible for nigeria to go out), but i'd like a different reason) even though they can still go through if Nigeria lose by 8 or 9 goals (anything is possible.....) It is fixed. Parutakupiu (talk) 04:21, 7 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Serbia doesn't have 2 titles but one, only this one. In 1987 it was Yugoslavia. The most famous players from that team were 4 Croats (Davor Suker, Zvonimir Boban, Robert Jarni and Robert Prosinecki) and 1 Montenegrin (Predrag Mijatovic), so it's crazy to put as if Serbia won a title. Yugoslavia's titles should go to noone since Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore and Serbia is far from being Yugoslavia. 70.81.140.155 (talk) 20:00, 4 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Undone This has been discussud multiple times and there is a consensus to follow FIFA which lists Serbia Football Association as the successor of Yugoslavia Football Association and the titles are "transferred" and belongs to serbia. It is the same for Russia that has the titles from Sovjet Union. Qed237 (talk) 22:50, 4 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
If you look at http://www.fifa.com/fifa-tournaments/teams/association=SRB/index.html you can see that FIFA lists two titles for serbia. Qed237 (talk) 22:52, 4 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
