Currently I have it such that if you hover over a retained salary transaction (denoted by a *) you can see how much salary was retained. Is there value in hover text for conditional picks at all? Similarly, is there value in noting what players were selected with a traded draft pick?
Here is a sample from the article with changes made (note I used to different styles for noting what player was drafted with a pick):
So, does it work? Is it too much? Should I do one and not the other? (I am leaning towards conditional information, but not the drafted player, because that looks too cluttered, imo. If we do include drafted player info, I vote for small text with the pick number.) –uncleben85 (talk) 22:37, 24 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

The NHL officially lists all June 2017 transactions as transactions for the 2017-18 season. Therefore I argue these should be moved to a new article for transactions for the upcoming season. Spilia4 (talk) 00:12, 19 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
I support this, and have in the past tried to lobby for the change, but there just seems to be too much inertia... Having the page roll over on July 1 makes sense for so many reasons, imo. –uncleben85 (talk) 04:35, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Is there interest in adding players signed from other leagues? Currently this page only tracks transactions from one NHL team to another, but adding imports actually doesn't make the page that much bigger or crowded. For example, here are all off the 2016-17 imports, and how I would suggest presenting them (–uncleben85 (talk) 04:40, 26 June 2017 (UTC)):Reply
