Dates
edit@IgnorantArmies: several IP editors are stating the fixture dates are incorrect. Please can you confirm? Thanks. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 13:21, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm. The original dates given were 29 October – 5 November, but http://www.icc-cricket.com/fixtures definitely has the start date as 30 October and the end date as 6 November. IgnorantArmies (talk) 14:01, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not 100% confident in the accuracy of the ICC website, but 6 November is a Sunday and it would make more sense for the final two games to be being played on the weekend. I think we should stick with that unless other sources contradict them. IgnorantArmies (talk) 14:04, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks IA. Just checking the ICC site, and they're all now back to the original dates! For example, USA vs Bermuda is the 29th and the final is the 5th. I'll update them, unless you find something else. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 14:13, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's still showing the 30th as the start date for me, but I think I've worked out the problem. The ICC site seems to be automatically adjusting the date to my time zone. It shows the start time as 17:00 GMT, so I just assumed that the date would also be given in GMT, but apparently not. Thanks for double checking. IgnorantArmies (talk) 14:38, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Isn't 17:00 GMT -> 10:00am PDT? Moedk (talk) 21:31, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
- Daylight savings in the UK ends on the last Sunday in October (which is the morning of the first match), but daylight savings in LA ends on 6 November (the day after the last match). I think what's there currently is correct, but it's possible that either I or the ICC website have made a mistake – 9:00 am does seem like quite an early start time. Hopefully there's a fixture list with LA times somewhere around the place. IgnorantArmies (talk) 04:51, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- Cricinfo is going with 10am start times. Agree that 9am is too early - got to give time for the LA smog to lift in the morning! Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 07:05, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- Daylight savings in the UK doesn't matter, ICC gives the start time in GMT not BST (British Summer Time). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moedk (talk • contribs) 03:25, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
