The result of the move request was: Not moved. I don't see consensus here after multiple relistings. I suggest a new proposal with specific new proposed titles that address years correctly and specify country (Bangladesh) and sport (association football) in the disambiguation, because the Independence Cup name is too vague/general. – The cup was only held in December 2018, but title is 2018–19, it will mislead readers. Thoughts? Hhkohh (talk) 16:21, 1 January 2019 (UTC)--Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 19:28, 8 January 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. bd2412 T 18:38, 18 January 2019 (UTC)\
- Move it (and clean up all of the unnecessary lines in between sections). The last scheduled match was on December 26, it was never even intended to take part in 2019. 21.colinthompson (talk) 16:30, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- 21.colinthompson, I agree to move. Can you help me think we should it to which title? Hhkohh (talk) 16:34, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) The title means the Independence Cup in the 2018-19 season. The previous season already has an article 2018 Independence Cup (for the 2017-18 season) and this would normally be the 2019 Independence Cup. It seems it has been brought forward this year because of the election, with the 2018-19 Premier League start postponed until January. For consistency the latter should retain the title 2018–19 Bangladesh Football Premier League, even though it will only be played in 2019. Jts1882 | talk 16:35, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- So if it is to be moved, what should the name be? Jts1882 | talk 16:36, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- I think it is already at the most appropriate title. Jack N. Stock (talk) 16:38, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- What I've seen done before (and what I would do here) is to move 2018 Independence Cup to 2018 Independence Cup (January), reflecting when the bulk of that tournament took place. The 2018–19 Independence Cup article would then be moved to 2018 Independence Cup (December).
- Otherwise, we could move 2018 Independence Cup to 2017–18 Independence Cup and have both tournaments reflect the season that they represented. 21.colinthompson (talk) 16:42, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Now, I prefer 2018 Independence Cup (because it held in both January and February) or 2018 Independence Cup (January) (start from January) and 2018 Independence Cup (December) after everyone suggested Hhkohh (talk) 16:49, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) It is the Independence Cup played during the 2018-2019 season, so the name I think the name should reflect the season. The most accurate would be the Independence Cup (2018-2019 season). Having two cups in 2018 with parenthetic terms requires explanation and is more confusing. Jts1882 | talk 16:58, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Media reports have it as "Walton Independence Cup 2018-19". Jack N. Stock (talk) 16:59, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Jacknstock, which media? Hhkohh (talk) 17:12, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Think that we need a formal RM to discuss it Hhkohh (talk) 17:17, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- RM template added Hhkohh (talk) 17:18, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- First search result for me was https://www.dhakatribune.com/sport/football/2018/12/10/no-telecast-of-independence-cup-quarters, but there are also a few when you search for the group of words I mentioned above (you can omit quotation marks). Jack N. Stock (talk) 17:22, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

- Just note that source says
Independence Cup for 2018-19 season
not 2018–19 Independence Cup Hhkohh (talk) 17:25, 1 January 2019 (UTC)- See the photo of last final? Move that one to 2017–18. And the current on to 2018. -Koppapa (talk) 18:20, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- My point was that it was the 2018-19 season, not the 2018 season. I see both "Walton Independence Cup 2018-19 season" and "Walton Independence Cup 2018", but I think 2018-19 is more often used and good to differentiate from the tournament that occurred in January 2018. The newspapers differentiate the two by referring to the earlier tournament as 2017-18 (example). Jack N. Stock (talk) 21:47, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, I now see the photos that Koppapa found. That's interesting and unusual to see the inconsistency in dating the tournaments. Jack N. Stock (talk) 21:52, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Just now Fauzannaufan (talk · contribs) moved page 2018–19 Bangladesh Football Premier League to 2019 Bangladesh Football Premier League. The reason is: The league will be commenced in 2019 Hhkohh (talk) 13:46, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
- Support the following: 2018 Independence Cup → 2017–18 Independence Cup (Bangladesh)
- 2018–19 Independence Cup → 2018 Independence Cup (Bangladesh)
- Due to 2017 Independence Cup is about cricket and Independence Cup is a dab page. And per the photo for the official name (year). Matthew hk (talk) 04:25, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
- Additional comment. Whole set of article need to be moved due to disambiguation. 2016 Independence Cup is about football, while 2017 Independence Cup is about cricket. Matthew hk (talk) 09:28, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
- 2016 Independence Cup to be redirect to Independence Cup (disambiguation) due to comment in the RM of 2017 Independence Cup (cricket). Matthew hk (talk) 01:37, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved (closed by non-admin page mover) SITH (talk) 12:10, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
2018 Independence Cup → 2017–18 Independence Cup (Bangladesh) – Posted by Koppapa in the previous RM, the official name was Walton Independence Cup 2017–18, however, we usually drop the sponsor title, as well as we follow the main article which located in Independence Cup (Bangladesh). 2017–18 Independence Cup should be a disambiguation or a redirect to Independence Cup (disambiguation), as 2017 Lesotho Independence Cup and 2017 Independence Cup (Albania) existed and belongs to 2017–18 season, despite not reflected on the common name.
