Fox and CTV
editAnyone got a reliable source for "In North America, this was the first FA Cup Final to be televised by CTV in Canada and by FOX in the United States." please? The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 15:47, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Hello I’ve found a few sources for FOX televising the 2017 FA Cup Final, but so far I haven’t found any sources for CTV. Here are the sources I have found regarding FOX: https://worldsoccertalk.com/2017/04/24/fox-broadcast-chelsea-arsenal-fa-cup-final-followed-seattle-portland-derby/ https://worldsoccertalk.com/2017/05/31/arsenal-chelsea-fa-cup-final-fox-watched-984000-soccer-fans/ https://usatoday.com/story/sports/soccer/2017/05/27/2017-fa-cup-arsenal-chelsea-final-time--tv-guide/102212130/ Also could you provide the reasoning for all the edits, and the removal of the programme cover image. Many Thanks, C7042 (talk) 19:40, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- No need to provide reasoning for "all the edits" but the programme cover fails NFCC, it in no way increases the readers' understanding of the subject matter, while an image of Wembley at least enables the readers to see the venue of the final. - Thanks for the response I hope the links I provided you with will help. The programme cover was added to the article by me in 2017, since it was added in articles from previous cup finals. I never knew this image goes against something for it not to be allowed there, but it’s been there for about three years and has just been spotted. And if it has to be removed then it has to be done. - Cheers for the links! The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 20:21, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

not finding in body
editFrom lead: while manager Arsène Wenger became the most successful manager in the tournament's history with seven wins. I couldn't find this in the body? —valereee (talk) 20:09, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Taking a look now.....will make straightforward copyedits as I go and drop queries below...(keeps my mind off some really stupid matches....sigh) Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:12, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Beginning of Arsenal ...ummm....."Arsenal" is mentioned 6 times in 6 successive sentences....try to reword at least a couple...?The match was also noted for Sutton United's reserve goalkeeper Wayne Shaw being investigated by the Football Association and Gambling Commission for eating a pie pitchside despite there being betting odds on him doing so- I don't follow this..am intrigued, maybe emphasis wrong or missing?- It was bonkers really, such an obvious flouting of the betting rules. I've tried a re-word, let me know what you think. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:22, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- That makes sense now Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 11:19, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Also have 3 "Arsenal" s in 3 final sentences...maybe reword one?- Hopefully reduced a bit. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:22, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
In the fourth round, they were drawn with Championship team Brentford at home. Chelsea won 4–0 with goals from Pedro, Willian, Branislav Ivanović and Batshuayi.- could tighten into one sentence I'd have thought...Alotta "Chelsea"s in the Chelsea section too....- Reduced, rejigged, hopefully to your satisfaction. - ....
was then held to honour the victims of the Manchester attack - link "Manchester attack" - Manchester Arena bombing is linked two paras above, is it not clear that it's the same thing? The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:22, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- ....
Midway through the half, Chelsea's Hazard...- do we need to specify "Chelsea" here?- Not if you believe it to be clear enough. Removed. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:22, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Otherwise reads well and is comprehensive. On target....Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:42, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- Casliber cheers, all addressed I think. Spurs not having a good couple of months really, but probably still better supporting them than being a Tractor Boy.... The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:22, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
