2018-19?
editGiven the Formula E calendars have started later and later in the year in previous seasons, is it right to assume that this will be a 2018-19 championship, as the current rate suggests it may well become a single year championship, making it the 2019 Formula E season. Nissan or.... ?
editI think the entries table is making some assumptions. Neither Nissan nor Renault confirmed how the DAMS team will be called. It's entirely possible they'll still be "e.dams" (something like "Nissan e.dams"). They also omitted the nationality, and assuming the team will automatically represent Japan because it will be supplied by a Japanese company might be misleading (Virgin are supplied by a French company and compete representing the UK). At this point we only know Nissan will be a powertrain developer and (most sources give it as a fact) will replace Renault at e.dams. We still don't know if its involvment will be beyond that. --Urbanoc (talk) 00:45, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
BMW/Nissan team nationality
editSo, according to the entry list from Saudi, BMW are British-registered and Nissan are French-registered; which explains why God Save the Queen was played for DAC's win. The F-E website may list them as German and Japanese, respectively, but as far as we should be concerned and as far as the FIA are concerned, the country of registration trumps everything else and is what is accurate. 🇮🇪 TheChrisD {💬|✏️} 21:09, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- The Andretti team is American because their headquarters are in Indianapolis, Indiana Paul200299 (talk) 21:50, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- No, you're wrong, a team's physical location doesn't neccessarly determines where such team will be registered. In Formula One, another FIA series, we have a team registered as German with zero locations in Germany, but their owners are German and they decided the team would represent their country. And Andretti do have operations in the UK. I'm with TheChrisD, we should follow the FIA on this. Urbanoc (talk) 14:37, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
So, to further this interesting situation, BMW appear in the Morocco entry list as American. 🇮🇪 TheChrisD {💬|✏️} 00:58, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
Voestalpine European Races
editI would remove the "European races" section and table. This is just a thing from a sponsor, I cannot even find this ranking on the official FE website. Wild8oar (talk) 14:26, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
