Penalty
editVettel won the race in about 1 hour 32 minutes. Perez and Hartley were both given post race penalties for an incident that happened on the formation lap. Why were they not given penalties during the race? Mobile mundo (talk) 16:33, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Because the stewards decided they would investigate the incident after the race so they could hear from Perez and Hartley. Why do you ask?

Räikkönen retired a healthy car
editThere was a false claim that the car was retired due to mismatched set. You can go out as long as you come back to sort it out within three laps (src F1 sporting regs). I wasn't able to find a news article that confirms they retired a healthy car, so I simply removed the false claim about the rule. If someone can find sources it would be an important addition as such retirements are obviously rare. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Notarealhamster (talk • contribs) 16:09, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
On ESPN2, the commentator said “Kimi Raikkonen has ran over one of the mechanics,” and then the other said: “the left rear wheel is not on properly” and that is actually the reason that the incident happened. BDK1210 (talk) 22:28, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Also, the car was smoking as Kimi got out. BDK1210 (talk) 22:30, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
