There is still no official formulation. Even the date of the referendum is uncertain. Liviu Dragnea, President of the Chamber of Deputies and President of PSD (largest party in Romania), mentioned 30 September or 7 October as possible dates. Alexandru M. (talk) 14:44, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Quorum

Does someone has a solid source on whether the 25 % quorum is on Yes votes or total of valid votes? The only given source on this seem to indicate the first, as far as I can tell. --Aréat (talk) 07:19, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

From the source that is provided, 25% of voters must cast a valid vote. It provides the following extract from the law.

ART. 5

(2) Referendumul este valabil dacă la acesta participă cel puţin 30% din numărul persoanelor înscrise în listele electorale permanente.

(3) Rezultatul referendumului este validat dacă opţiunile valabil exprimate reprezintă cel puţin 25% din cei înscrişi pe listele electorale permanente.

in English:

(2) The referendum shall be valid if at least 30% of the persons on the permanent electoral rolls participate in it.

(3) The result of the referendum shall be validated if the validly expressed options represent at least 25% of those on the permanent electoral rolls.
