Merge?
editShould we merge this to Cryptocurrency bubble? Smallbones(smalltalk) 17:18, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- I support a merge. While both articles have significant content issues, combining them might make things better. power~enwiki (π, ν) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
I'm against a merge. There were smaller bubbles in 2011 and 2013. The 2017/2018 bubble and crash is notable. Morgan Ginsberg (talk) 01:26, 13 October 2018 (UTC)My old account – change of mind. Џ 06:37, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- I support a merger on the condition that the page itself become a primary section of the Cryptocurrency bubble article to reflect its noteworthiness. Jajhill (talk) 02:54, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- We could merge this article into Cryptocurrency bubble and update it pretty easily, maybe add sections on the previous 2 or 3 80%+ drops, but I'll suggest that we put the newest one first as it is the most famous - few people had even heard of cryptocurrency before 2017. Any thoughts? Smallbones(smalltalk) 14:47, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Smallbones: I added the last paragraph in the introductory section of the bubble article that summarized the 2018 crash. I did not realize that there were previous 80%+ declines in the cryptocurrency market, but if there is enough content from citations for each 80% drop, then I would be in favor of creating separate primary subsections for each. -- Jajhill (talk) 22:40, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Decline: I don't see anything wrong with the articles being separated as is. ᴀɴᴏɴʏᴍᴜᴤᴤ ᴜᴤᴇʀ (ᴛᴀʟᴋ) 15:07, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose Nothing wrong with separate pages: general; and specific. Staszek Lem (talk) 18:57, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
