Saturday's 75-minute afternoon qualifying session was divided into two groups of five cars and two groups of six entries — "entries" means "cars" also? If so, I think it's clearer if you just say "two groups of five cars and two groups of six." Each driver was mandated to activate the attack mode system twice — Were they required to use it twice, or simply permitted to use it up to twice? Yes drivers were required by regulations to use it a certain number of times as determined by Formula E themselves. It proved to be so as the safety car stayed on the track until 20 seconds were left and Sims and di Grassi used their second attack modes beforehand. — This is somewhat confusing (why would they activate the attack mode while the safety car was on the track? Wouldn't they not be able to benefit from it?) and needs some revision (e.g., "than planned than had been anticipated"). It sounds like (almost) the entire field anticipated the same thing. And what was the point of using it then—can you talk me what they were trying to achieve by using it then?
