editThis earthquake does not appear to be notable in any way. There are no reports of damage or casualties. Unless there is more information to show that this is more than just a new story, this article should be deleted. Mikenorton (talk) 10:18, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
- After searching around, I find that there are no relevant news reports, except for those immediately after the earthquake. ReliefWeb, does not have a page for this event and the last report listed under the country was four days ago. Mikenorton (talk) 14:57, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
- On second inspection, I'm inclined to agree with you re notability; it doesn't seem like this meets WP:LASTING. It wouldn't hurt to wait a few more days to see if there's any enduring coverage, but the lack of casualties or serious damage means this earthquake probably doesn't warrant an article. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 00:36, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
- My only reason for delaying sending this to AfD is that communications are very slow in PNG and it is conceivable that a remote area suffered significant damage/casualties which has yet to come to light, although this is becoming less and less likely. Mikenorton (talk) 16:07, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
