Orphaned references in 2019 United Kingdom general election in Wales
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2019 United Kingdom general election in Wales's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:37, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

Gains/losses figures in results table
editGains and losses at general elections are usually counted from the last general election and ignoring any changes made in the interim. Thus although Brecon and Radnorshire had been won by the Liberal Democrats at the 2019 by-election, the comparison would normally be with the 2017 general election result in Wales. this would mean No change for the Lib Dems rather than 1 loss being recorded in the table. Likewise it would mean 6 rather than 7 Conservative gains. This also would avoid another issue in that Aberconwy's MP Guto Bebb had ceased to be a Conservative MP in 2019 and was sitting as an Independent. That means if the change was to be calculated from the numbers at the dissolution of Parliament then the Conservatives actually gained 8 seats. Thus I would suggest the tables is amended to 6 Conservative gains and no change for the Lib Dems. Dunarc (talk) 20:02, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
- This seems reasonable, but we could also add footnotes in the relevant cells (for LD and Ind) to indicate that we are discounting their seats held at dissolution of parliament which were not won in 2017. — Bilorv (talk) 20:47, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
- That sounds a good way forward to me. Dunarc (talk) 23:56, 14 December 2019 (UTC)

Party leaders
editWouldn’t we better having Mark Drakeford and Paul Davies in the infobox instead of Corbyn and Johnson as this is an article about the election in Wales? Ciaran.london (talk) 15:43, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
